Business travel

Not only did I just get back to work a few days ago but then I found out they wanted me to go on business travel. ?! Way to hit the ground running I guess??

Last week my manager set me up to work on a program with people out in TX, which was a big help to my working from home issue, but then the Texas folks emailed and asked about my status because they wanted me to fly out Monday to return on Friday. Uh I guess no one told them I just had a baby. It made me nervous to think about it, being away from my babies when they needed me! But I spoke with Dwight and he said of course he’d take care of her. I had a nice little stash of milk Popsicles in the freezer anyway didn’t I?

I had to book a flight, hotel and car rental to go to a city and spend almost a week by myself. I mean I’ve flown solo before but never to a city to stay all by my lonesome.. well I guess my breast pump is keeping me company and I get to FaceTime…

Got lost on the way to the hotel and got lost from the self park to the main lobby lol. Nothing like a little exploring!! I requested a fridge to store all the milk I pump and a microwave to try and sterilize my pump parts. I have a king size bed all to myself…but I kinda miss when she scoots her way in the bed to come lay next to mommy 🙂

What an experience! But, I know that you are capable of more than even you realize you can do.
With being busy the few days will fly by and you will be home cuddling with Brielle and Dwight. It makes the meaning of Mom all the more important. Keep smiling and try not to get lost again.
    Love you

Gee… My first thought would have been … Granma… Are you busy this week? Can you fly out with me to Texas and keep Bee during the day?
That would have been my only option!

You re a courageous girl! This trip is already almost over.

Lucky you Dwight is a good Dad!

I feel for you, wouldn’t want to be in your shoes. I know I would be a basking case. You have been through a lot and it only makes you a stronger women/mother . Keep up the good work 😘😍
