Everyone likes to think of a new year as a fresh start, a time to make positive changes in ones life but I want to think of each new day or new hour as an opportunity to better myself and my life. at least that’s the plan.
Now that I’m finally getting a better grasp on my time and “scheduling” myself so I’m taking care if everything I need to, I want to start doing some of the things on my to do list. They say it takes 21-30 days to create/break a habit so if I can incorporate one of these every month then i will have accomplished everything and simultaneously created a habit of continuing it to do it so it doesn’t make it’s way back to my to-do list but just becomes a part of my life.
Anyway, these are just a few.
I used to do Pilates and yoga, not regularly and at a very-beginner level but I felt better when I did them and I want to start back, I think it’ll def help with my back and headaches. And all those damn yogis are always so happy and at peace with their life; i want to join the club ! 😀
Complete the 52 week $ savings challenge!
It’s not that hard to do actually. You have 52 weeks in a year and basically each week you just put away the amount of money that is equal to the week number you’re on. 1st week of the year- $1, 2nd week -$2,…, last week – $52. It ends up saving at least $1300 which you could use for Xmas or vacation or continuing to save for whatever your happy heart desires.
Which will turn into blog more lol. As a kid I feel like I used to write a lot, short stories and funny anecdotes mostly but it definitely was good for my vocabulary and expanding my creative process and way of thinking.
Even before I discovered Pinterest I was dabbling in various arts and crafts; jewelry, candles, mixed media art, card making, etc. And now I have accumulated lots of stuff that needs to be used. I want to learn how to crochet for one, but that would require me to get moreeeee art supplies and contribute to my growing stash soooo maybe I’ll start with something else like jewelry and cards. I do want to make cute beanies, and stuff though….
Develop my cooking/baking skills!
I want to keep doing different things in the kitchen like I have slowly been doing. I have pins upon pins of different food things and sweet treats that my hands need to make, and I want to do them instead of just saying I will try it later. (Hmmm baby’s 1st birthday is coming up I see potential for awesomeness here)
Pamper myself more!
This sounds selfish… but as a mom you become such a selfless being! You have so much to do and it’s not necessarily for yourself and I want to thank myself more for all that I do, cause I feel like I do a lot. Even if it’s an at home facial, or just reading a novel I’ve been saying I want to finish, or getting a crazy bright lipstick. Maybe I will get/make a nice smelling body scrub to use 1-2x to wash off all the apple sauce , sweet potato purée, and baby boogies that find their way into my clothes, skin and hair. Nothing to fancy, I just don’t want to forgot that I am Bianca, not just Mom.
