Weekend in Review – Potty Training

I kind of miss writing these weekend recap posts. Let me see if I can get back into doing them all the time like I used to!

This weekend was rainy, boo.

D had to work Saturday morning so me and babygirl spent it lounging around the house. we did some tidying up as well! (Also ordered what will be my new kitchen backsplash. I will write about that later this week)

But guess who wore her big girl panties? AND guess who told mommy she needed to go peepee on the potty? ANDDD guess who earned 7 stickers on her potty chart cause they did peepee on the potty?!!! I was soooooo proud. We had 2 accidents in the morning but after that she did great for the rest of the day! She told me each time that she needed to go and she was so happy that she went herself. We had a little mini party each time after she went.

After D got back, I went to the gym and am still sore ! [I worked back, and triceps.]

After grocery shopping with the family, by the time we got home it was pouringgg. We ate dinner and watched movies and our power almost went out.

Sunday we made it to church

Β and after running some errands we hurried home so I could bake some carrot cake minis.

(Dishwasher door broke on Sunday 😦

It won’t close shut, I think something’s wrong with the part that clicks. And because it won’t close it keeps falling open. Super annoying because of its placement in the kitchen. I took the broom and slanted it against the wall in front of the dishwasher for now…)

I also made this Spinach Feta Pecan Strawberry Salad for our Family Day with Friends. I don’t know why I didn’t take a pic of the salad when I made it. It was soo pretty. The red from the strawberry contrasted beautifully with the green of the spinach and the crunchy brown pecan pieces accented well. Plus the yummy feta pieces. Anyway this is what was left and is part of my lunch today.

Our family day was so much fun! We don’t do them as often as we should and i think about that every time we get together. We had grilled chicken, mac n cheese, avocado pasta salad, my spinach salad, deviled eggs and the cupcakes.

The 5 kids are all around the same age and they had a blast with each other, playing dress up, kitchen and dancing to music. We played a little Twister, the grown ups played a little Spades and little mama ended up sleeping thru the entire night.

[See some of the dads playing twister with the kids? πŸ™‚ ]

A weekend with family is always well spent.

What can I say to top off the other two. From the time you were Brielle’s age I knew you would have a blessed life, with intelligence, beauty, a calmness not often seen when doing so many things, motherhood, as your Mom says, looks like a walk in the park. Your culinary delights are amazing, your house decorations also. I could go on, but I do not want your head to swell too much. Just a little!!!! lol. Love you ( I would love to put little hearts and other cute thngs but do not know how to get them. Use your imagination (which you have lots of) to see them, they are there!)
